Current workforce trends reflect constant change:  reengineering, reinventing, and retraining.  Employees unprepared for this environment may find they are forced to make unwise career decisions and transitions or, perhaps, lose jobs based on lack of preparedness.

Successful Career Planning offers individuals the opportunity to understand both their strengths and weaknesses.

Successful Career Planning begins with the process of knowing YOURSELF, your strengths, the type of work environment that you need to be successful and an understanding of your motivations.  By clarifying job expectations, discovering reasons for inner conflict and stress experienced in past or present jobs and in analyzing one's perception of the "ideal job", sound career choices and changes can be made more easily.

Success and job satisfaction come easier the closer the job matches the natural behavioral style of the individual.  The web-based Successful Career Planningassessment offers a system to capitalize on an employee's talents, potential and continuing value to the organization.

Successful Career Planning will guide employees to finding success and job satisfaction by identifying the best career choice based on the special talents and value they bring to the job.  The Successful Career Planning assessment does not "choose" a career or job, but will discover qualities as well as career options that could be the key to opening new doors of opportunity.

Application is the key to career planning.  Successful Career Planning provides an opportunity for participants to apply what they have learned about themselves by developing a written career plan, developing or updating their resume and examining interviewing and presentation techniques.

The assessment consists of 4 sections:
bulletThe Interactive Work Preferences, which examines Personal Characteristics, Personal Strengths and Basic Needs.
bulletThe Work Environment-Present/Past Job component is designed to assess the behavior that is needed for successful completion of a particular job.
bulletThe Work Environment-Future/Ideal Job component is designed to target the behavior that is representative of the individual's IDEAL WORK ENVIRONMENT.
bulletThe Occupational Analysis component generates a listing of occupations suitable to the individual based on their responses to the assessment.  This list is drawn from the current "occupational information network" (O*NET) database.

After completing the Successful Career Planning assessment you will be able to:

bulletUnderstand your personal strengths
bulletGain a sense of control over your career path
bulletIdentify areas of potential job stress, conflict and satisfaction
bulletNarrow the range of realistic job possibilities
bulletCompare and contrast specific career options worth developing
