STRATEGIC/TRANSITION PLANNING

Successful organizations combine the elements of strategic planning and effective team building to ensure the full utilization of personnel resources and to guarantee the maximum output of products and services.  These two elements are key ingredients to any operational or business plan and mandatory if total quality management is to be an integral part of the corporate culture.  To be effective in an organization, employees need to know the inner workings of the organization and how their actions effect organizational outcomes.  The Strategic/Transitional Planning process is recommended as the mechanism for developing and communicating the direction of the organization and involving members of your organization in this process.  An added benefit for participants is an added sense of participation and ownership in goal achievement and the overall direction of the organization.

The facilitation format is designed to provide top level decision makers with an environment for effective planning.  Management Training Systems, Inc. will serve as confidential process advisors to the respective manager and will design specific intervention strategies that will best meet the individuals' needs.  The strategies involved will be varied in nature, magnitude and complexity and may include any combination of the following:

bullet

Examining the state of the organization.

bullet

Defining the organizational culture necessary for enhanced operational effectiveness.

bullet

Defining management philosophy.

bullet

Identifying the organization's strategies for goal achievement.

bullet

Clarifying policies and procedures that lead to improved productivity.

bullet

Identifying critical success factors that influence productivity that are within "local" culture.

bullet

bullet

Assessing current and projecting future manpower resource requirements.

Management Training Systems, Inc. has developed numerous performance enhancement modules specifically designed for integration into the planning session.  These modules allow participants to examine how their individual and collective skills have a continued and significant impact on their organization's mission.  Agenda items may include any combination of the following:

bullet

Developing techniques for improved team communications and interactions.

Identifying the management style that best facilitates the mission of the organization.
